WITH AUGUST 1, 2008 DELIVERIES
QUALITY
PREMIUMS: Family Dairies USA markets most of
its raw milk supply to Class I bottlers and specialty cheese
plants at premium prices. Milk quality is of vital importance
to our bottling and specialty plant customers. Therefore,
we offer the following “quality” premiums which
are paid monthly in addition to our regular premium price,
provided there is no added water, antibiotics or sediment
of #1 or #2.
STANDARD
PLATE COUNT PREMIUMS:
.10 cents/cwt. Bacteria count (SPC) must be 25,000 or less
SOMATIC
CELL COUNT PREMIUM:
Somatic Cell Adjustment will be $.0025 for 150 or less
Somatic Cell Adjustment will be $.0020 for 250 or less
Somatic Cell Adjustment will be $.0015 for over 250 or more
350 TO 500 SCC is deducted at F.O. 30 Minimum

CONDITIONS FOR MONTHLY
VOLUME PREMIUM: No antibiotics and an Average
SCC of 500,000 or less.
MILK HAULING:
$15.00 per pickup will be charged.
ANTIBIOTICS:
If you suspect you have antibiotics in your milk, call us
immediately. It will be tested and, if antibiotics are found,
it cannot be marketed. However, Family Dairies USA will pay
you one-half (50%) price for milk dumped due to antibiotics
the first time it occurs in a one year period. If you do not
call us and your antibiotic milk contaminates an entire load,
you will not be paid anything for that day’s milk and
you will be liable for any losses to the remaining truck load.
COMPRESSOR FAILURE:
If you have a compressor problem and call us,
or your hauler rejects your milk, and the milk is dumped,
Family Dairies USA will pay one half (50%) of the regular
price for the milk dumped the first time it occurs. Nonpayment
will be made for milk dumped due to compressor problems after
the first time. If you do not call us and your spoiled milk
contaminates an entire load, you will not be paid anything
for that day’s milk and you will be liable for any losses
to the remaining truck load.
FORWARD CONTRACTING:
Family Dairies USA offers forward contracting to producers.
LABORATORY TESTING:
Family Dairies USA offers specialized testing such
as; tank and individual cow cultures, MUN’s and antibiotics
at a discounted price.
FIELD SERVICE:
Family Dairies USA Field Service Representatives are available
to help with any problems you may have and make regular visits
to the farms of patrons.
